These terms are an agreement between you and Tara Leigh Technologies LLC ("we," "us") about using the Scan My Treasure app ("the app"). By using the app, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
You must be 13 or older.
If you're under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian, who also agrees to these terms for you.
The app uses artificial intelligence to estimate what an item might resell for.
These estimates are not professional appraisals, authentications, or guaranteed sale prices.
AI can make mistakes: it can misidentify items, misjudge condition, or get values wrong.
Always use your own judgment before buying, selling, or pricing anything.
We aren't responsible for buying, selling, or pricing decisions you make based on the app.
You need to sign in with email or Google to use the app. You’re responsible for what happens on your account, so keep your password private.
You own your photos and content. That includes item photos, descriptions, notes, and your username.
You give us a license. You give us permission to store, process, and display your content as needed to run the app. This includes:
sending photos and descriptions to our AI provider for appraisals and mannequin pictures
showing your display name and best finds on the leaderboards, if you turn them on
The license ends when you delete the content or your account. Anonymous appraisal results, which contain no photos or identity, may still be reused.
Only upload content you have the right to use.
When you use features other people can see, like usernames, leaderboard photos, and item names, you agree not to post anything that is:
sexual, nude, or sexually suggestive
hateful, harassing, threatening, or bullying
violent, graphic, or promoting self-harm
illegal, or promoting illegal activity
someone else's private information
spam, impersonation, or misleading
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users:
Photos are screened automatically.
You can report any photo, name, or item name.
You can hide any person from your leaderboards.
Reported content is hidden right away while it's reviewed.
We may remove content that breaks these rules, and suspend or delete accounts that break them.
Don't:
try to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the app
scrape data from the app
get around usage limits
access other people's accounts
use the app to break any law
The app may limit how many AI appraisals or mannequin pictures you can make in a period. We may offer paid features in the future. If we do, prices and terms will be shown before you buy, and purchases go through Google Play.
We may update the app or these terms. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know in the app. Continuing to use the app means you accept the updated terms.
You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time.
We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms.
The app is provided "as is" and "as available." We don't promise that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that appraisals will be accurate. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Tara Leigh Technologies LLC won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. This includes lost profits or losses from buying or selling items. Our total liability for any claim about the app won't be more than the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 if you paid nothing.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
